Development partnerships with providers, ethnic and cultural faith groups, advocacy organization, faith communities, police, child-serving agencies, and post-secondary institutions. Share resources and participate on committees or workgroups, set up a referral process for families. 

Family engagement is an active partnership between families, services providers, and agencies which involve listening to what family have to say, engaging in two-way communication and seeing families as partners and allies in all child-serving system of care.

A. The Core of NW is to valve the system of care effective and sustainable systems of care engage families as partners in all aspects of the system, from service delivery to program development, policy, and evaluation.

B. NW will share responsibilities with families engaged and embedded in the work of all staff members, management systems, and leadership priorities.

C. NW will Provide a welcoming environment, build relationship by actively listening and exploring the family’s area of expertise and interest ensure that families are engaged in ways that are meaningful to them.

D. Listening to all family members' voices to creative outreach strategies such as community events, focus groups, online surveys, social media provide opportunities for the voices of all families to be heard.

E. NW will involve partnerships by listening and benefiting from each other’s knowledge and expertise. Fostering equal partnerships between families and system of care.

F. NW provide sources to assistance with transportation and childcare, translation services and the use of technology facilitate families’ participation and understanding.

G. Financial compensation such as stipends or gift cards for families’ time is an acknowledgment of the expertise that families bring to policy and decision making for their wellness plan.

H. NW will promote ongoing opportunities for families to attend trainings and conferences as well as providing mentorship assistance. Support the families to gain knowledge and develop their leadership skills.

Participate in events at libraries, food banks, health fair, school events, and pow wows.
